Permabond LH050 pipe sealant performs well on most metals, particularly steel and brass. It provides an excellent alternative to pipe dopes and pipe tapes for sealing pipe joints. It cures anaerobically when in contact with metal parts (as in a threaded pipe joint). When applied, LH050 dispenses as a smooth paste, filling the entire space between the threaded parts. It then cures at ambient temperature to form a solid plastic, completely sealing against hydraulic fluids, air, gases and chemicals. In addition, it locks the pipes, plugs or fittings against vibration loosening, tampering and variable temperature effects.

HL126 Threadlocker prevents vibration loosening. Because of the low viscosity an additional use is the sealing of weld porosity; the uncured material penetrates the micro pores before curing. PERMABOND HL126 Threadlocker cures reliably and fast on most metallic surfaces.

The added lubricity helps in seating the part even with an interference fit/ As such, it is used in heavy duty machinery e.g. compressors, hydraulics and construction equipment. When used on soft brass parts, the lubricity may be too high at times, thereby causing deformation of the part upon assembly. LH051 is also made flowable so that it can easily be applied with dispensing equipment. The particle size of the filler is very low, so that it can be used on most hydraulic systems without clogging hydraulic screens or valves. Permabond LH051 Pipe Sealant with PTFE provides an excellent replacement for pipe dopes and pipe tapes.

Its major benefit as related to other pipe sealants is that it is an unfilled resin that is compatible with hydraulic fluids. If the adhesive is accidentally spilled into the hydraulic system, e.g., squeezed out of the joint, it will be dispersed in the fluid. It contains no particles that can clog or foul hydraulic screens and valves. Thus it is used in very sensitive high pressure hydraulic systems.

The adhesive is toughened for maximum impact resistance, along with excellent peel and shear strength. ES550 is ideal for bonding a wide range of materials including metals, ferrites, ceramics and composites.
